11132013jackduffyWith the 50-year anniversary of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination approaching, TR Campus will host a book talk Nov. 20.

Kennedy was shot and fatally wounded Nov. 22, 1963, while traveling with a motorcade through Dealey Plaza in Dallas. Local author Jack Duffy was in Fort Worth on that tragic day.

Duffy’s book, The Man From 2063, is a historical account and a fictional novel examining the details and conspiracy theories surrounding the death of Kennedy. His book explores the idea of “what if?”

Duffy plans to read excerpts and discuss the book. He will follow the discussion with a question-and-answer session.

Duffy, a Fort Worth attorney, spent 40 years researching the events of that day before releasing his novel in September 2012. His research included interviews with several important people, such as the doctors who treated Kennedy as well as eyewitnesses.

“He has a wide collection of information and knowledge about the events that occurred,” said library services director Carol Everhart.

Duffy will have copies of his book available to students for purchase.

The presentation will be held at 1 p.m. in the Idea Store.
