Now-Dec. 5 The Carrier Library and the history department will hold a King Leopold’s Ghost discussion group. Discussion will start noon-1 p.m. in the SE library and meet every other Friday through Dec. 5 to discuss Adam Hochschild’s book that chronicles the Congo region of Africa under Belgian rule.

Sept. 17 To celebrate Constitution Day, there will be a Constitution Day trivia game 8:30-10 a.m. in the SE Campus library. Students can play for a free cupcake and learn more about the day.

Sept. 17 NE Campus career services will have an open house and information session 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in career services (NSTU 1625A). Students and faculty can learn about and participate in a free online mock interview. Refreshments will be served.

Sept. 17 TR career services will host the 2014 Job Fair 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on TRTR Main Street in front of the bookstore. Several employers from Tarrant County will recruit students for jobs. Participants are urged to bring at least 30 resumes and dress professionally.

Sept. 17 The NW aviation department will present the grand opening of its new aviation facility at Alliance Airport 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The facility, previously belonging to Bell Helicopter, was completed during the summer.

Sept. 17 South Campus student development services will present Constitution Day to celebrate the anniversary of the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution noon-1 p.m. in the SSTU Dining Hall.

Sept. 17 South Campus health services will sponsor the second of four weekly Nutrition Series classes presented by Laura Dehoyos from the JPS Network to teach portion control, carbohydrate counting and ways to read a label 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the SSTU Forum Room.

Sept. 17 The Walsh Library will host America’s Struggle for Equality: TCC NW Commemorates the 50th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Act 12:30-2 p.m. in the Michael Saenz Conference Center (WACB 1123) on NW Campus. NW history and government faculty will speak on topics such as the integration of college athletics in the South, the international effect of the American civil rights movement and school integration and the rise of private schools.
