Advising requires appointment now

Students now must schedule a face-to-face advisement appointment with the introduction of the new Advising by Appointment program.

Students can call to set up their appointments on their campus and can soon schedule appointments online.

“Walk-in students have the possibility of a same-day appointment, but it’s not guaranteed,” district administrative assistant Vanessa Braddy said.

The program was implemented districtwide Nov. 3.

“This way, the students have a set time that’s just for them,” Braddy said. “It gives the advisor and student time to prepare so they can both be ready for the appointment.”

She said the online scheduling should be up and running no later than Nov. 28.
