Workshop to discuss need for emotional intelligence

By — Alex Aviles

NE career services and student activities will sponsor a discussion about emotional intelligence and its application to employability.

The discussion will be held 12:30-1:30 p.m. Nov. 17 in Darlage Center Corner (NSTU 1615A).

Business assistant professor Randy Saleh said he will discuss the “critical role that emotional intelligence plays in career success” and the importance of having these skills.

Students can learn how to use emotional agility, people skills, motivation and ways to manage work relationships, he said.

Saleh received his Master of Science in business and project management and has worked at TCC as faculty and academic advisor for 20 years.

Registration is required on http://tccdne.volunteerhub.com. Students can call 817-515-6692 for more information on this discussion.
