The NW Student Christian Ministries Thanksgiving Club gathered and delivered over 40 turkey dinners for Fort Worth area homeless over the Thanksgiving holiday. The care packages included turkey sandwiches, chips, candy and personal care items, all hand-packaged and decorated by NW students.
Now-Dec. 17 The NE Veterans Association is collecting men’s coats and canned goods to be delivered to Liberty House, a transitional shelter for homeless veterans. Dec. 9 Carter BloodCare will have mobile units for a blood drive 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on the South SSTU patio. Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and have a valid photo ID.
