March 8 South Campus will hold a Women’s History Month luncheon in celebration of International Women’s Day 12:30-1:45 p.m. in the Fusion Auditorium (SETC 1100). League of Women Voters representative Jeane Grisham will discuss informed voting: how to find out about a candidate’s voting record as well as how to follow the money that supports elected officials. March 9 NE Campus kinesiology department and student activities will host Women’s Self Defense 10 a.m.-noon. in the Darlage Center Corner (NSTU 1615A). The two-hour self-defense class will lay the foundation for effective self-defense and teach awareness, assertiveness, verbal confrontation skills, safety strategies and physical techniques that enable someone to prevent, escape and resist violent assaults.
