Now-Dec. 3 NE Campus’ theater program presents The Farnsworth Invention, a play written by Aaron Sorkin and directed by drama associate professor Jakie Cabe. The play focuses on Philo Farnsworth’s invention of the television and the RCA president who stole his design. Performances are free for all TCC students, faculty and staff, $3 for other students and $6 for the general public. The shows start at 7 p.m. with a 2 p.m. matinee Dec. 3 in the NFAB theater. Now-Dec. 4 NW’s drama program presents The Laramie Project at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 30-Dec. 3 with a 2 p.m. matinee Dec. 4 in Theatre Northwest (WTLO 1119A). The play is set in 1998 at the University of Wyoming after a gay student is kidnapped, beaten and tied to a post. The play will touch on LGBTQ+ acceptance and the true nature of humanity. Now-Dec. 16 The NW Campus Lakeview Gallery is hosting The Fab Four exhibit 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Fridays and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturdays in WFAB 1135. Five student artists, handpicked by a jury, received an entire wall in the Lakeview Gallery to create an expansive art piece using a $100 budget. The chosen artists had one week to create their large works. The exhibit is free. For more information about the exhibit, contact NW art associate professor Christian deLeon at 817-515-7606.

Now-March 1 Photos by Lupita Murillo Tinen, Collin College photography professor, is on display in the Neo Gallery in the Communication Arts Building on NE Campus. The exhibit, From Inside the Home: A Portrait of Mexican Immigrant Women, hangs in the north hallway of the NCAB photography wing. Dressed in their best clothes, the strong women Tinen focuses on have brought their traditions and cultures into their new lives and homes in Fort Worth. The photos are available for viewing Monday-Saturday during normal school hours.

Dec. 1 An Evening of Chamber Music will start at 7:30 p.m. in the SE recital hall (ESEC 1321). Performances will include both soloists and ensembles. All concerts are free and open to the public.

Dec. 1-3 SE Campus drama students will present Neil Simon’s Lost in Yonkers, a comedy about a dysfunctional family in New York during 1942. Directed by SE speech adjunct instructor Larry Cure, the show will have evening performances Dec. 1-3 at 7:30 p.m. and a matinee Dec. 2 at 1:30 p.m. in the C.A. Roberson Theatre. Dec. 2 A chamber opera group will perform a variety of duets, trios and ensemble work at 7 p.m. in Center Corner (NSTU 1615A) on NE Campus. For more information, call music instructor Stan Paschal at 817-515-6236.

Dec. 6 Caroling All Around will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the SE main ballroom. SE music adjunct instructor Tom Connely will direct the SE orchestra, and SE music adjunct instructor Bill Witwer will direct the SE choir. The free concert is open to the public.

Dec. 6 The NE Collegiate Chorale will perform a variety of choral works alongside the Community Chorus at 7:30 p.m. at Shady Oaks Baptist Church, 1336 Cavender Drive in Hurst. For more information, call music assistant professor Bobbie Douglas at 817-515-6570.

Dec. 6 A guitar ensemble directed by music adjunct instructor Jan Ryberg will perform a variety of works from several eras at 8 p.m. in Center Corner (NSTU 1615A) on NE Campus.

Dec. 8 NW’s music program will host a Christmas concert with two performances: 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., both in the WTLO theater. The concert is free. Contact NW music associate professor Eddie Vandewalker at richard.vandewalker@my.tccd.edu.

Dec. 8 South Campus’ dance program will present Emerge, a dance concert featuring Continuum Dance Company at 7:30 p.m. in the Joe. B. Rushing Performance Arts Center. Dec. 8 The Northwest Dance Company, Mosaic Dance Project and fall technique classes will present Fall into Dance starting at 7:30 p.m. in WSTU 1303. The concert is informal and will feature different dance styles like ballet, jazz and hip-hop. Admission is free to TCC students, faculty and staff and $3 for the public.
