Workshop talks about financial investments for education

By Chase Metivier

Investing in Undergraduate Education will show students how to invest in a college education and their future.

Joe Rodriguez, NE financial aid specialist, will present ideas that will help better a student’s financial situation in college.

“Pursuing higher education is often the first major purchase that a student makes, which could set the stage for a successful financial future,” he said.

He also weighed in on the importance of this event and recommends students should go to this event.

“It’s important because investing in undergraduate education will affect students’ future earnings and quality of life,” he said.

The free event is 6-7:30 p.m. Feb. 20 in the Community Room (NBSS 1103) on NE Campus.

“The information is appropriate for anyone who has used financial aid,” Rodriguez said.

He also said attendees will receive a workbook at the beginning of the event.
