Nov. 28 Confidential HIV and syphilis testing will be 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in WCTS 1124B on NW Campus. Tests are offered by AIDS Outreach, and results will be available over the phone within one week. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are encouraged.

Nov. 28 How to Take a Test and Pass will be noon-1 p.m. and 5-6 p.m. in the Forum Room (SSTU 2207) on South Campus. The seminar will feature test-taking tips for finals. Light refreshments will be provided.

Nov. 29 TR Campus will host the Carter BloodCare Drive 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in Action A (TRTR 4202). Students can call 1-800-DONATE-4 (1-800-366-2834) to register. Participants are encouraged to eat a decent meal before donating, must be at least 17 years of age, have photo identification and weigh more than 110 pounds. Donors may not have given blood within 56 days prior to donation day.

Nov. 29 The NE Student Leadership Academy’s Mentoring session will be 10-11 a.m. in the Galley (NSTU 1506). Faculty members will be available at this session to discuss their ideas on mentoring. For more information, call student activities at 817-515-6688.

Nov. 29 The SE Campus writing center will have an MLA documentation workshop at 6 p.m. in ESEE 2225. In addition to learning how to format a works cited page, students can learn how to document Internet and database article sources.

Nov. 30 NW will host an Accuplacer workshop aimed at preparing students for success in the reading and writing sections of the Accuplacer test 9:30-11 a.m. in WCTS 1213. To sign up, contact Kaylee McElree at 817-515-7316 or kaylee.mcelree@tccd.edu.

Dec. 3 The NE Student Government Association Forum will be 12:30-2 p.m. in the Galley (NSTU1506). Students are invited to participate or observe while issues at TCC are discussed and voted on. For more information, call student activities at 817-515-6688 or email sgatccne@gmail.com.

Dec. 3 The NE Student Leadership Academy’s Networking/End-of-the-Semester Party will be 2-3 p.m. in the Galley (NSTU 1506). Students can learn to network at social events during this session. Food will be provided. NE student disc jockey Lamar Thomas will provide music for the event. For more information about the academy or the event, interested students can call student activities at 817-515-6688.

Dec. 3-4 Free final exam survival kits will be available at various locations on South Campus. The kits will include pens, snacks and tips for surviving finals week.

Dec. 5 So You Think You Can Speak?, the third annual speech showcase, will be at 12:30 p.m. in the Michael Saenz Conference Center (WACB 1123) on NW Campus. Dec. 6 The Mammogram Mobile will be parked 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in the driveway between WFAB and WADM on NW Campus. To schedule an appointment, call health services at 817-515-7603.
