An award-winning African-American journalist will give her perspective on Women’s History Month March 1 on South Campus.
Shon Gables, anchor-reporter at WFAA, will speak at 12:30 p.m. in the SSTU Living Room.
Gables’ many assignments throughout her career have included a Black Enterprise Business Report for which she interviewed President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. She has received several national awards and honors and also sponsors various philanthropic projects
Tickets are $5 for students and $7.50 for others. Reservations are required, and those interested should call 817-515-4470 or 817-551-4740. Proceeds will benefit the Women’s History Month Scholarship.
