The 18th Leadership eXpeience Summit 1-4 p.m. Feb. 22 invites students and the public to learn more about essential qualities leaders should have. The summit will meet in the Action Suite (TRTR 4202). Refreshments will be served.
Guest speaker James “Bird” Guess will talk about developing self-leadership skills. Guess, also known as is an entrepreneur and performance coach. He built a successful business out of the back of his car, eventually banking more than half a million dollars.
Stevie Blakely, TR coordinator of student leadership development, said If students attend, they should understand how to development personal motivational skills.
“Students will also have a deeper understanding of what it means to motivate others to accomplish great things,” she said. “The summit is about turning great students into great students through learning to self-motivate and to motivate others.”
