Electronic Arts announced the release of its newest game, Arena Football, which has been shipped to stores nationwide. The new game gives players a chance to experience the fast-paced excitement of arena football.
The Arena Football League is America’s fastest-growing sport with 41 percent attendance increase since 2001. Therefore, the company decided a video game the next step in the sport’s growing popularity.
“ EA Sports Arena Football captures the passion of our sport and gives fans an opportunity to experience the action for themselves,” Glen Horine, president, AFL Properties, said.
The game allows players to take their favorite AFL team and build them into what they want by signing free agents and making trades in an attempt to win an Arena Bowl championship.
Players also can create their own team or choose from the 30 teams of the AFL. This game features the all-new addition “Be the receiver,” which allows players to take control of their receivers right from the snap.
Another new feature gives players real-time information such as scoring history, passing tendencies and players’ health and fatigue levels, providing a player the advantage over his opponent.
The EA Sports Arena Football game is available for PlayStation and Xbox. Rated E10+ (Everyone 10 and older), the game sells for $29.99.
