A South Campus professor will help NW Campus students understand the admissions process for the TCC nursing program next week.
Jo Nell Mitchell, associate professor of nursing, will be on NW Campus Tuesday, Feb. 20, to speak to students interested in entering the nursing program. Her speech, sponsored by the Futures in Science Club and student activities, will be at 3 p.m. in WSTU 1303.
Mitchell will cover the nursing program’s prerequisites and provide information regarding required examinations. Students must complete various courses and meet specific academic requirements to be accepted into the associate degree registered nurse program.
However, program participants must pass the National Council of State Boards of Nursing licensure examination to receive a Registered Nurse license.
Only 100 students are accepted into the program each fall and spring semester. The applications will be taken until the Fall ’07 deadline: Wednesday, Feb. 28.
For information regarding the presentation, contact Lynn Preston in WTLO 4227A or at 817-515-7629.
