Students with the New Year’s resolution of getting fit and looking healthy or anybody concerned with body image should head to SE Campus Wednesday, Feb. 13.
Jason Wooten, assistant professor of physical education, will present Self Image—The Fantasy and the Reality. Wooten said the seminar is important to the college community because media can influence people through portrayals of models, which he said is not a healthy look for everyone.
“I will present some case studies that models have died because the have been too skinny,” he said.
Wooten also will talk about national health awareness.
The seminar for both men and women will begin at 11:45 a.m. in the North Ballroom.
