NW Campus dancers will perform In Unison next week at W.E. Scott Theatre in Fort Worth.

The annual spring dance recital will include more than 100 diverse dancers and will feature several different pieces.

Some of the numbers in the production include Rhythm, Wild Horses, Tango, Yield, On My Own Time and Bring It On.

Several of the pieces performed during the recital were choreographed with creative input from the students themselves.

Dance faculty members collaborated on some pieces, and in many cases, students had the chance to create movement through “guided in-rehearsal exploration,” Lacreacia I. Sanders, recital director and organizer, said.

“ Most importantly, the performance itself provides the opportunity for over 100 performers to come together, share these collaborative experiences with you, and for all of us both onstage and off to dance
… In Unison,” she said.

Sanders has served as director of the NW company for three years.

“ I am amazed at the evolution of the company since its inception, and I look forward to this time each year when we gather the largest group of individuals together and fully express the spirit of community,” she said.

In Unison will have two performances Friday-Saturday, April 27-28, 7:30-9:00 p.m.

Tickets are $7 and will be available the evening of the performance.

Scott Theatre is in the Fort Worth Community Arts Center at 1309 Montgomery St.
