Sheryl Crow Detours (4 stars)
After battling breast cancer, breaking up with her boyfriend and adopting a kid, Sheryl Crow is back with her newest album, Detours.
She revisits her old school ways with her bittersweet rock and emotional lyrics.
Crow drifts through rock, blues and folk with ease in this electric album.
The CD touches base with her recent events with poignancy and never gets sappy.
“Gasoline” sounds like something from her debut album, which is great, and “Lullaby for Wyatt” is a perfect example of what she can evolve to.
Detours is great addition to Crow’s discography.
