CD Review-Corrine West: Second Sight

Corrine West Second Sight (3 stars)
corinnewestThere is something uneven about Second Sight, the album by Corinne West.

When given a fast song, she knocks it out of the park with her silky voice and catchy riffs. But when she croons to a slower pace, everything interesting and riveting about her songs fall to the wayside, and the listener is left with a sleepy and mundane tune.

“Second Sight” is a great song with an upbeat tempo and well- executed lyrics. Same goes for “All Good Things,” but this time around she adds a hint of an Irish melody into the tune.

But as well as West does with the fast pace, she can’t seem to find the right niche in the slow songs on her tracks.

Second Sight is an uneven addition to West’s discography.
