Now-Sept. 30 NE Library is hosting One Month Later Images from Ground Zero. This photo exhibit from Vicki Kluthe, adjunct photography instructor, includes images one month after 9/11.

Aug. 31 TR student activities will sponsor First Week Back @ TRC: Get the Scoop at the Idea Store! 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Idea Store. Students are welcome to free ice cream from local shop Gypsy Scoops and learn about TR’s Idea Store.

Aug. 31 South student activities will host Toro Tailgate 12:30-2 p.m. in the SSTU dining hall. Students are encouraged to stop by and learn more about the student organizations on campus and ways to get involved.

Aug. 31 NE Campus is providing free ice cream from Sub Zero Ice Cream and Yogurt 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Courtyard inside the student center.

Aug. 31 TR Campus’ Tahita Fulkerson Library will host a movie night with Star Wars: The Force Awakens 4-7 p.m. in the library. Light refreshments will be provided but are limited. For more information, contact student activities coordinator Eddie Brassart at 817-515-1192.

Aug. 31 SE student activities will host Grab a Slice of Campus Life 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the ESCT Hub. Students can pick up a slice of pizza and meet classmates.

Sept. 1 As part of South Campus’ Howdy Week, student activities will throw Intramurals Waterin’ Hole Pool Party 2-4 p.m. at the SHPE pool. Students can learn about the campus intramurals taking place on South for the fall semester. Sept. 1 TR student activities will host a special welcome to veteran students 7:30-8:30 a.m. in the student life center (TRTR 2004-A). Sept. 1 NE student activities will host a Club Rush 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the NSTU hallways. Students can talk with the many student organizations to get involved on campus. Free popcorn, cotton candy and more will be provided. For more information, call student activities at 817-515-6582.

Sept. 1 TR Campus’ Tahita Fulkerson Library will host an introduction to myTCC 2:30-3:30 p.m. in TREF 1302. Students can have any of their questions answered about myTCC or Blackboard. For more information, contact the library at 817-515-1220.

Sept. 2 A SE Welcome Week celebration will be held noon–2 p.m. on the sand volleyball court outside the gym. Students can participate in games, eat snacks and sign up for clubs.

Sept. 6 NW health services will hold free pregnancy and STD testing for women starting at 9 a.m. at the driveway between WFAB and the police department. Testing will be every Tuesday, and walk-ins are welcome. Contact health services at 817-515-7672 for more information.

Sept. 6-8 TR Discovery Center will sponsor Survival Week 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Discovery Center (TRTR 3102). The event will provide skills workshops to help students succeed at TCC. Contact the Discovery Center at 817-515-1039 for more information.

Sept. 7 NW student activities will host Club Talk: Recruitment 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Club Room (WSTU 2817). Student clubs can meet up with other clubs on campus and discuss recruitment strategies. Sept. 8 South student activities will host a 9/11 ceremony 10-11 a.m. in the SSTU dining hall. The ceremony will remember the victims of the terrorist attacks that took place 15 years ago. Contact student development associate Ana Garcia at 817-515-4045 for more information.
