As part of Women’s History Month, NE health services and student activities will present their annual Afternoon Tea along with a Working in the Smart Zone presentation from a licensed psychologist and author March 31.

Susan Fletcher will provide concrete ideas about ways to balance a person’s identity with a career and a personal life.

Paula Vastine, NE student services coordinator, explained the goals of this presentation.

“This seminar will inspire you to successfully meet commitments and keep promises, manage stress when you are in the moment, improve communication with two words and reach a satisfying productive balance between the demands of work and family life,” she said.

Although this is part of Women’s History Month and the Women in New Roles program, both men and women can join. It is a de-stressing program for everyone because everyone bears the stresses of everyday life, she said.

“Susan has done presentations like this before,” Vastine said.

“She is such a clear speaker and so relatable that anyone can walk away with a new perspective.”

Afternoon Tea will be 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the NSTU Center Corner. Admission is $5. To reserve a spot, call 817-515-6056 or 817-515-6644.
