South to look globally

As part of Women’s History Month, Women In New Roles will present How Can I Prepare Myself to Function in a Global Marketplace Tuesday, March 6.

Altheria Gaston, South Campus English instructor, will discuss her personal experience studying abroad in Salzburg, Austria. She will cover globalization and its effects on today’s job market. She will also cover characteristics of a globally competent student, ways to appeal to international employers and study abroad opportunities for students.

With a master’s in English, Gaston has taught on South Campus for three years.

The seminar will be held in the SSTU Forum Room 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. on South Campus. Gaston said all students are invited.
