Resume skills taught

By Aubrie Graham/reporter

During a resume-writing workshop on NW Campus Sept. 10, Ryan Dickerson said the best way to assemble a good resume is to answer the right questions.

“Who are you? What do you want? Where are you going,” the outreach specialist for Tarleton State University’s Southwest Metroplex Center asked the audience. “How are you going to do it? What do you want to leave behind?”

Many employers, Dickerson said, seek new hires with the ability to problem-solve, communicate, research and analyze problems, so job-hunting students should highlight those skills and talents on their resumes.
