TCC, along with approximately 10 other community colleges, will bid for top honors in an upcoming speech tournament hosted by SE Campus.
The Texas Community College Speech and Theater Association State/Debate Forensics Tournament will be held Friday-Sunday, Feb. 10-12, in the ESED South Ballroom and ESED Theater.
TCC will have teams from NE, NW and SE Campuses, with approximately 20 TCC students participating in various events.
The students will square off in parliamentary debate, group improvisation, interpreter’s theater, public speaking and oral interpretation.
Guidelines for judging each event are set forth by the National Parliamentary Debate Association and the American Forensics Association.
Stephen Brown, instructor of speech, serves as SE Campus forensics adviser and tournament host.
