April 20South Campus will hold Hunger Run, a two-mile run/walk for students, faculty and staff, starting at 2 p.m. in the SHPE building. The event benefits the Tarrant Area Food Bank, and the entry fee is five cans of food. The event includes a drawing for door prizes, awards to various male and female age groups and refreshments after the race. April 21 Career services offices from across the district will host a collegewide job fair 2-6 p.m. on TRTR Main Street on TR Campus. Representatives from over 50 companies will be recruiting for full-time, part-time and seasonal positions as well as paid internships. The event will also include career and job readiness workshops.

April 21 The NW Campus math department will give students a chance to simplify trinomial equations 9:30-10:30 a.m., 12:30-1:30 p.m. and 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the Math Emporium (WACB 1143). Students can solve the equations using either the GCF or magic method.

April 21 South Campus’ Spectrum presents Trans Panel: Trans Parent 1-3 p.m. in the SSTU Forum Room. The semiannual panel on transgender and other LGBT issues for students and parents will inform participants about LGBT community and culture. April 21 SE Campus will hold a graduation festival 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in the North Ballroom. Students can get their caps and gowns, take pictures in a photo booth and receive transfer information from different universities.

April 21 The Aviation, Transportation and Logistics Job Fair will take place 3-5:30 p.m. in Room 1201 at the Center of Excellence for Aviation, Transportation and Logistics, 2301 Horizon Drive. The event will include approximately 20 employers in the aviation, transportation and logistics sector.

April 21 NE Campus will offer Safe Space Training 8:30 a.m.-noon in the Community Room (NBSS 1103). The training is open to all TCC employees and students who are familiar with and want to learn how to become an ally to the LGBTQ community. April 21 Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention Month: TCC Students Fight Back!, a self-defense class, will be taught by a TCC police officer 3:30-5 p.m. in the SHPE Yoga Studio on South Campus. The class will address situational awareness and techniques against an attacker in various positions. Participants are encouraged to wear the appropriate attire: workout clothes and comfortable shoes and socks. April 21-23 NW Campus will have an Earth Day event 8 a.m.-5 p.m. There will be outdoor activities and displays near the WACB and WSTU buildings, a disc golf tournament and a Saturday fun run on the trail around the lake. April 22 TR’s transfer center presents TCU@TCC 10-11:30 a.m. in the Riverfront Cafe. The event is open to any students thinking about transferring to TCU. April 22 The Jim Bolen Math Competition will host its awards ceremony 3-5 p.m. in the TRTR Action Suites. The TCC Foundation along with participating universities will be present for the recognition of students who participated in the competition.
