Kevin Whittenberg and Team Zoom had another impressive win March 5 on SE Campus, this time against iWork.
IWork started slowly, missing key baskets.

Although its defense got rolling toward the end, it wasn’t enough to obtain the win, losing 20-16.
Do Wurk fell short again this week, but not without a fight. Sylvia Carter of Do Wurk came to play, driving the ball to the basket against an aggressive Da Truth team with ease.
Da Truth proved it was the better team, winning 20-11.
As for the third game of the day, only one member of The Bums, Washington Amukoa, showed up.
“I guess they just gave up. One of them said that they’re going to College Station on Facebook, and he didn’t tell me,” Amukoa said. “I was disappointed. Next time they come to practice, I’ll make them do 50 suicides [drills].”
Amukoa picked up players from other teams to play with him against Utopia. The Bums won 20-16. Raymond Scott of Da Truth was among the players who joined Amukoa’s team and said he was happy to step in.
“We had our backs against the wall and showed we could win,” Scott said. “Da Truth is going to take the district [title].”
Team Africa stole the show against Aim High, winning 20-12 in the final game of the day. Team Africa’s Paul Ondiegi had an impressive game, hitting several jump shots against Aim High’s struggling defense.
“I’m going to take my talents to South Beach next time,” Ondiegi joked, channeling LeBron James.
Aim High’s Jared Moore took the blame for the loss.
“I made too many mistakes. I can’t hold my team accountable,” Moore said. “We’ll come back stronger next week.”
