Campus unveils wellness Web site

Students wanting healthier lives should visit the new TCC wellness Web pages introduced by the NE Campus wellness program.
The pages provide information concerning fitness, nutrition, sports and exercise. In addition, various links to calendars and articles give information on subjects such as heart disease, cancer and diabetes.
Students can find facts about health insurance, AIDS testing and nutritional lunches. The site also provides a full listing of intramural and recreational sports open to faculty, staff and students. Swimming clubs, cycling clubs, flag football, tennis and bowling are some of the sports currently open for anyone to join.
On the fitness and exercise page, students can see all of the amenities the NE Campus facilities have to offer. Basketball and racquetball courts, a jogging path, an indoor swimming pool and a cardio room are some of the features available to currently enrolled students, faculty and staff.
Students can visit the new pages by logging on to the TCC home page and clicking on current students. Next, they can look under the college life heading near the bottom of the page and click on the sports/recreation and wellness link. From there, students can choose any of the five pages.
