Music recitals on the NW Campus are not uncommon, but shows for guitar enthusiasts have been in short supply, until now.
NW instructor of music and studio musician Michael Dailey will perform a guitar recital featuring work from classical artists Tuesday, April 8, at 7 p.m.
Dailey has been an avid musician ever since he first played a guitar when he was 5.
When Dailey was 8, he found his way onto the stage and by age 14, the music instructor was a career guitarist.
Dailey has performed all over the United States and many times in Europe. His influences are mostly classical, and he received lessons from Andres Segovia.
Currently, Dailey teaches at the NW Campus and Texas Weslyan University.
Dailey also owns the Guitar Studio in Fort Worth, the only guitar studio in North Texas that specializes in classical guitar.
The recital will be in the Recital Hall (WFAB 1105). Admission is free and open to the public.
