NW Campus is offering an outdoor-style indoor soccer league to meet rising demand for the sport among TCC students.
Coed soccer teams will take to the field Oct. 6-22 and compete against each other for the league title, which goes to the team with the best record.
A playoff will be held if necessary, said Joshua Tarbay, the intramural director.
The league gives students the “opportunity to come out and play as a team, create relationships, enjoy competition and get fit for an extended period of time,” he said.
Refereed by faculty, games will be played from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday throughout the three-week season.
Each team will play one to three games a week, depending on the number of teams that register.
Teams of up to seven players and individuals can register at the NW Campus gym check-out counter.
The team registration deadline is Oct. 6. No new teams will be added after closing, but a rolling registration will be scheduled to fill vacancies in existing teams.
Shin guards and jerseys, the only required equipment, will be available at the gym prior to game time, Tarbay said.
