Students can learn valuable techniques to prepare for phone interviews 12:30-1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, on
South Campus.
Monica Bettle, coordinator of the South Campus career center, is presenting the workshop. She said most phone interviews are a pre-screening process of the basic qualifications for the job.
“ Treat a phone interview as you would a face-to-face one,” she said.
Those who attend will learn what to expect during a phone interview and will receive an overview of what to do and not to do. Some of these tips include finding a quiet place for the interview, making sure there is good reception and avoiding interruptions.
The workshop will include a Power Point slide show accompanied by a handout, Bettle said.
