TREC’s opening will be celebrated with the general public 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 1.

TREC faculty and staff will host tours for the public. Additionally, games will be held in the plaza along with free hot dogs, popcorn, drinks and prizes.

“We are planning to invite all the citizens of Tarrant County to come and see this wonderful facility where we expect to be training healthcare professionals for the next 100 years,” Chancellor Erma Johnson Hadley said.

The campus, located at 245 E. Belknap St., features a nursing building with a mock hospital and an allied health building. These buildings are centered around an underground plaza, where most of the festivities will be held.

Guests are asked to RSVP by Sept. 28 at www.tccd.edu/RSVP.
