Adam Briggle, University of North Texas philosophy professor, will present Lessons from the Oil Spill: From the Control of Nature to the Control of Self, Sept. 29 on NE Campus.

Briggle said he plans to discuss the lessons involving dependence on technology and collective responsibility. He said he hopes students will walk away with a new understanding of what a high-tech world they are living and their place in it.

The NE philosophy and student activities departments are sponsoring the seminar 12:30-1:30 p.m. in NSTU Center Corner.
