An employee of the Texas Workforce Commission will speak to NW Campus students Oct. 7.
I Want to Get and Keep the Job! The Importance of Ethics in the Workplace will be led by Dennis Smith.
Smith has worked in education and workforce development for more than two decades.
While in the field, he has led workshops for several companies and civic organizations. Some of those include Chesapeake Energy, Workforce Solutions of Tarrant County, the Inter-Agency Workforce Group and the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce.
He also assisted in the founding of the DFW Work Coalition.
The workshop will be centered around impressing during the interview and retaining the job after being hired.
This event, sponsored by the NW career and employment services center, will take place in WACB 1123 11 a.m.-12:20 p.m.
