Oct. 9 The SE library and the health and physical education department are sponsoring a “Thriller” dance workshop 2:30-4 p.m. in the gym (ESEB 1210). Hangman’s House of Horrors’ Sheryl Jordan will teach participants how to dance to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.” Anyone can attend a Thrill the World event Oct. 26 at Hangman’s House, where they will join zombies from around the globe dancing to the song. Oct. 17 South Campus will host a celebration of Hispanic heritage at 7:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall. Oscar Dressler, South professor of music, and Patricia Bedford, NE music instructor, will perform in concert. Bedford, an Argentine soprano, will be accompanied on piano by Dressler. Admission is free and open to the public.

An Evening of Romance will feature associate professors Gerald Ringe on clarinet and Hsinyi Wang and cello along with guest artists playing music from the late romantic period. Now-Oct. 11 In a Different Light is currently on display in College Hall (NCAB 1111) on NE Campus. The photography montage features the works of NE graphic services coordinator Evelyne Binz and NE graphics specialist Chrissy Green. College Hall is open Monday-Friday during normal school hours.

Oct. 9-13 NW drama students will perform the dramatic comedy Crimes of the Heart, a critically acclaimed play by Beth Henley about two tenacious sisters with blood on their hands. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday in Theatre Northwest (WTLO 1108).
