Hispanic Heritage Month

Now-Oct. 14 SE Campus presents Lunes Hecho de la Diversión 8 a.m.-5 p.m. every Monday during Hispanic Heritage Month. Student activities will present a Hispanic heritage fact and highlight a fun phrase in Spanish. Prizes will be available for participants who repeat the phrase in Spanish to the student activities office located at ESCT 1201A. For more information, call student activities at 817-515-3595.

Now-Oct. 15 The SE library presents a Hispanic Heritage Month exhibit in the library (ESED 1200). The exhibit displays Hispanic history and heritage compiled by assistant professor of Spanish Ivan Miño. The exhibit is free and open to the public. Oct. 9 South’s college access coordinator Claudia Garcia will speak at Abrazando Al Exito 3-6 p.m. in the SSTU cafeteria on South Campus. Oct. 15 TR Campus will hold the Early Morning Loteria in the Riverfront Café 8:30-9:30 a.m. Students can participate in Mexican bingo and learn Spanish language. For more information, call Mayra Olivares-Urueta in student development services at 817-515-1197.
