Now-Dec. 6 The NW gym will hold a NWellness Fall 2013 Fitness Challenge for faculty and staff. The theme is Fitnopoly. Each visit to the gym is rewarded with a sticker. To win the game, participants must collect 40 stickers. Participants will also randomly draw a chance card for instructions, rewards or penalties. Now-Dec. 13 The NW gym is hosting the Early Bird Workout Hour 7-8 a.m. Monday-Friday. The workout hour is for faculty and staff only. Nov. 13, 14, 20, 21 The NE Campus flag football tournament is scheduled 2-5 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays. Tournament participants will meet in the gym and then move outside by the tennis courts for the games. Winning teams will continue on to the next week. Students can stay for free play after the tournament.

Nov. 14 SE health and physical education department will host the third annual ZumbaFest 6-7:30 p.m. in the SHPE gym. HPE instructors will lead participants in Zumba dancing to benefit Mission Arlington. The entry fee is two nonperishable canned goods, and those who bring 10 or more will be entered into a prize drawing. Nov. 16 The Gobble Wobble 5K run will take off at 8:30 a.m. at South Campus’ north entry. The cost for TCC students and employees is five cans of nonperishable food, and the cost for non-TCC participants is $15 and five cans of food. Groups of five may enter for $40 and 20 cans of nonperishable foods. Participants will receive a T-shirt. Registration is available online until Nov. 12 or in person in the SHPE building. For online registration, go to http://gobblewobble.athlete360.com. On-site registration will be available, but shirts or correct sizes are not guaranteed.
