All TCC students can volunteer for the SE Campus dinner and holiday program Nov. 26 for residents of the Arlington Life Shelter.

At gift trees on each campus, students can leave new and gently used toys for children at the shelter. Volunteers will wrap the toys before the event.

Culinary students on SE Campus will visit local organizations to collect food for the event. They will prepare the holiday meals, and other student volunteers will serve the shelter residents.

During the program, faculty members plan to wear holiday costumes and put on a show for the children. Mrs. Claus will read a story. Frosty the Snowman and the Rhapsody Movement Company will perform and dance with the children.

Amy Staley, student development associate, said two things about the program stand out for her.

“I love seeing the way SE Campus comes together to make this happen, and I love watching the looks on the children’s faces whenever they receive a gift and watch the performance,” she said.

To volunteer, contact SE student activities at 817-515-1190.
