Panel to assist students’ search for perfect jobs

Students looking for that perfect job can get assistance from some experts during a SE Campus seminar next week.

Bob Phanelson, SE counselor, and six other professionals will help college students prepare now for the world of work.

From the Classroom to the Boardroom will be Monday, Feb. 5, 11:45 a.m.-2:40 p.m. in the North Ballroom.

“ Students will learn how to transition their academic skills, critical thinking and student activities into real-life corporate America jobs,” Phanelson said.

Three human resource representatives will explain what they look for in future candidates, and three faculty members will discuss what they teach that will help students later in job interviews.

Topics such as goal setting, time management and professionalism will be covered.

Students attending the seminar will learn how to develop these traits and the importance of networking, communication skills and ethics.
