Switches Lay Down the Law (4 stars)
Switches new album, Lay Down the Law, is a catchy collection of pop rock.
The Brit band has a sound which would make Freddie Mercury and David Bowie proud, and they pull from different decades to create a fascinating and energetic CD.
“Stepkids in Love” is their strongest track. It is hypnotic and has a fantastic riff.
The whole album sounds about the same, which can be seen as a flaw, but if the listeners love the band’s sound, the whole CD is a fun treat.
Switches’ Lay Down the Law is a great album for the upcoming summer months and to listen to in the car with the windows down.
