Principal cellist will play on NE Campus

Cellist Adam Pratt will perform a preview of his Texas Wesleyan University senior recital at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 4 in NE Campus’ College Hall (NCAB 1111).

He will perform pieces by Bach, Shostakovich and Beethoven with Julie Oh on piano and guest musicians Sorin Guttman and Patricia Chi Tsai.

Pratt has performed in venues throughout the country including Fort Worth’s Modern Art Museum and has served as the principal cellist of TCC’s Chamber String Ensemble.

He also has performed in TCC’s 2011 and 2013 Honors Recital and is the 2012 and 2013 recipient of the Irene Clark Scholarship, which recognizes outstanding achievement in music.

Currently, Pratt is the principal cellist of the Wesleyan Wind Ensemble, working to attain a bachelor’s degree in music education and a bachelor’s degree in music performance.
