Now-Feb. 28 TR Campus is sponsoring a mixed-media art exhibition in the East Fork Gallery. Turn of the Sentry by El Paso artist Angel Cabrales is an interactive installation. The gallery is open during normal school hours.
Now-March 6 The works of former NE photography instructor René West are on display in SE Campus’ Art Corridor II. René West: rePresentation includes digital archival prints. Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
Now-March 29 The NW visual arts department presents Gamedev: The Art of Game Design and Development in the Lakeview Gallery (WFAB 1135A). An 11 a.m.-2 p.m. reception with an artist’s talk at noon will end the exhibit March 29. The exhibition will feature the projects of four local game designers including a 3-D real-time strategy game, an interactive installation and several Adobe Flash games. The artists will show sketches, coding and concept designs used in the development process as well as short films and playable demos. Feb. 26 The Brock McGuire Band will perform a concert 7:30-10 p.m. in Center Corner (NSTU 1615) on NE Campus. The band is from County Clare, Ireland, and will perform traditional Irish music with some arrangements of bluegrass, French Canadian and other traditional Celtic music.
