The NE history and philosophy department will kick off its History and Philosophy Film Series.
Its first offering, The Midwife’s Tale, will be shown Monday, Sept. 24, in NSTU Center Corner 12:30-4 p.m.

“ The main purpose of the film series is to enrich our students in their history and philosophy classes in ways we do not have time for during regular class hours,” Anne Rye, assistant professor of history, said.

The first Film Series, during the spring semester, was coordinated with the FDR photography exhibit.

“ We thought the experience was successful and worthwhile and we decided to give it another try this year,” she said.

Rye said The Midwife’s Tale was picked because it dramatizes life during the colonial period.

The event is open to all TCC students and staff, and light refreshments will also be served.
