Vampires will not be the only ones collecting blood Halloween.
As part of the annual Health Fair put on by health services on SE Campus, Carter BloodCare will be available in the North Ballroom today 9 a.m.-3 p.m. for any students looking to donate blood.
Free food will be provided for all individuals who participate.
In addition to the blood drive, the health services department has arranged for free, confidential HIV/AIDS screening to be given to any students wanting to get tested. The screenings will be 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in ESEC 2118 A.
In the Roberson Theater, two guest speakers will discuss domestic abuse, bulimia, anorexia and other eating disorders.
Benji Douglas, education and services director of Safe Haven of Tarrant County, will present Alternatives to Stop Domestic Violence in Tarrant County 10:40-11:35 a.m.
Sharon Cutts, a recovering bulimic, will present Beauty Undressed 11:45 a.m.-12:40 p.m. The program, partly presented through music, is designed to help young women understand the driving forces behind low self-esteem and poor body image.
Flu shots will be given throughout the event for $12. Anyone wishing to get vaccinated must pay business services in order to obtain a voucher to be turned into the campus nurse.
The Health Fair is set to run 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Main Commons.
