Opera, slam to end events for festival

The NE Campus Shakespeare festival will close with a festival day Saturday, Dec. 1, 2-10 p.m.

Events will take place in the Center Corner (NSTU 1615A) and NFAB Theater and will include a dinner break.

Festival day events are free and open to the general public.

The Happy Dagger, a jazz opera based on Shakespeare’s plays, will begin at 2 p.m. in the Center Corner.

Sonnet slam showcase is at 3:30 in the NFAB Theater.

Renaissance Dance, an interactive dance instruction of Renaissance dance is 4 p.m. in the NSTU Center Corner.

Verona, a hip-hop version of Romeo and Juliet performed by Kids Who Care, will be at 4:30 p.m. in the NFAB Theater.

Lovers, Spirits and Madmen
, a Shakespeare interpretation by various artists, will be at 5 p.m. in the NFAB Theater.

A 5:45-6:45 p.m. dinner break will offer pizza for sale in the Center Corner.

Sonnets will feature Shakespeare’s work with a modern interpretation through original songs and dances at 6 p.m. in Center Corner.

The Blinding of Gloucester will be at 7 p.m. in the NFAB Theater.

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, Abridged will be at 8 p.m. in the NFAB Theater.
