SE lunar celebration introduces Year of the Ox

SE students rang in Chinese New Year Jan. 26 with its annual Lunar Celebration, featuring a variety of Asian food, candies, teas and activities.

Madison Durapau, SE student activities instructional assistant, said her goal for this year’s celebration is to create something interactive for the students as well as something to help them “branch out of their comfort zone and try new things.”

The event, sponsored by SE student activities and the International Asian Student Organization, gave students an opportunity to learn about Asian culture by rolling sushi and folding origami.
