South Campus and community poets are invited to read their original works in front of judges and a live audience. Only the first 14 applicants to sign up at the event will perform their poems.

Poems must be read in less than three minutes, and poets must bring three poems in case they advance to the second and third rounds of judging. The first, second and third place poets will receive prizes.

The South Campus jazz band, led by music instructor Rick Stitzel, will also perform.

Poets and spectators are encouraged to arrive early as seating is limited. Admission is free. For more information, contact Catherine Higdon at 817-515-4094.
