SE will host lunch with career mentors

Students participating in SE career services’ Career Mentor Program are encouraged to take part in the Career Mentor Meet-Up Luncheon on campus Oct. 3.

This luncheon is one of two this semester where students can meet their mentors in person or network with their mentors and others.

“Students should come dressed for success,” instructional assistant Lisa Jackson said.

At the luncheon, students can learn how to use and succeed with LinkedIn through Ron Nash, a guest speaker.

“Ron has an innate ability to build rapport, understand the motivation of individuals and partner with them,” LinkedIn user Michelle Cowden said.

Nash is founder of JumpStartYourCareerwithLinkedIn.com and has been featured in The Miami Herald, Small Business Trendsetters and other publications.

The luncheon is free and open to students who have signed up for the Career Mentor Program. For more information about this event and how to participate, contact Jackson at 817-515-3592.
