Now-Oct. 23 SE’s Judith J. Carrier Library is host to Dust, Drought, and Dreams Gone Dry: A Traveling Exhibit on SE Campus. The display describes the lives of people during the 1930s Dust Bowl. For more information, contact library services assistant director Tracey Minzenmayer at 817-515-3388.

Now-Sept. 11 The TR Discovery Center will host Survival Week 8 a.m.-5 p.m. with information to help students have a successful semester. Workshops covering test-taking and writing skills, stress relief and transfer preparation will be held 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Students can come and go between classes. Sept. 10 South Campus will host Loss Team Workshop: Suicide Prevention 10-11 a.m. in the SSTU Living Room. Brian Hoppe, clinical director of Crisis Services, will help bring awareness to the problem of suicide on World Suicide Prevention Day. Sept. 11 Weekend classes begin.

Sept. 17 The SE library will showcase various books about the history of the Constitution during Constitution Day from 7 a.m.–10 p.m.

Sept. 17 South Campus health services will hold a presentation for Light the Night Walk 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. in the Forum Room (SSTU 2207). Sept. 17 South Campus’ Student Government Association will host Constitution Day: A Blended Conversation with Faculty in celebration of Constitution Day 1-2:30 p.m. in the Rotunda. This event features a panel with keynote speaker and South vice president of academic affairs Steven Wilson and history associate professor John Lundberg, who will discuss the Constitution and other timely topics.
