Outdoors provides backdrop for dance

NE Campus presents Global Rhythms, its annual spring dance concert, April 29 at Richland High School Auditorium.

Dr. Linda Quinn, NE dance program coordinator, said the performance will showcase NE’s two dance groups, Movers Unlimited and TCC NE Dance Company, as well as students in the NE dance program.

“In total, there will be 220 dancers performing nine cultural representations of dance,” she said.

As NE program coordinator, Quinn said she has seen more students get involved in dance within the past few years than previous times at TCC.

“It is for this reason alone that we couldn’t hold the spring dance concert at the NE Theatre,” she said. “Therefore, it is now taking place at Richland.”

Tickets will be on sale through April 28 in the NE business services office. TCC students with a current student ID will be admitted for free, and general admission will cost $5. All remaining tickets will be sold at the door the night of the performance.

The event is open to the public and begins at 7:30 p.m. Quinn asked attendees to arrive early in respect to the dancers.
