NW students plan diverse May dances

NW Campus will present its Assorted Pieces dance concert 1-3 p.m. May 6 in the WTLO Theatre.

The NW Dance Company, Mosaic Dance Project and spring 2011 technique classes will perform.

The informal concert will showcase various dance works including ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop and Latin ballroom.

“I like seeing Mosaic perform,” said NW dance student Valerie Nabarrete. “I look up to them and see how diverse the dancers are.”

NW dance student Rebekah Price, who will perform, said the performance class helps a lot. It pushes her.

NW student Shaida Duharté has learned about time and precision from her dance class this year. She said she learned about organization and the formation of dance moves.

This dance concert is available to prospective dance students, showing the different types of classes offered on NW Campus.

The event costs $1 to attend.
