In honor of National Children’s Dental Health Month as well as American Heart Month, NE Campus will present Love That Smile With All Your Heart.
Lisa Englehart and Rebel Chapa, NE Campus dental hygiene instructors, will speak about the link between oral health and overall health 12:30-1:30 p.m. Feb. 11 in the Darlage Center Corner (NSTU 1615) on NE Campus.
Attendees will be served a healthy lunch while learning how chronic inflammation caused by unhealthy gums and teeth can weaken not only the immune system but the body as a whole.
“We hope to attract anyone that is interested [in] improving their overall health,” Englehart said.
Both Englehart and Chapa are state-registered dental hygienists who have worked at TCC since 2009 and 2012, respectively.
