NW workshop to offer strategies for university aid

By — Jessica Espinoza

NW Campus will hold Financial Aid and Scholarships for University, a March 9 event for students planning to transfer to a university.

NW transfer center coordinator Lourdes Davenport said a panel of five to seven university experts will talk about FAFSA, scholarships and other topics. They will address the importance of prioritizing deadlines and writing essays.

The information presented will help students who need financial aid and/or scholarships.

Students can learn how to plan early because most scholarships have strict deadlines and GPA requirements. Students will have time to ask questions about financial aid and transferring.

The event takes place 12:30-1:30 p.m. March 9 in WTLO 2505. Lunch will be provided.
